WorkInProduct.eu is built for job seekers. We collect only the data needed to operate and improve the service, keep our core infrastructure in the EU, and never sell your personal data.
Who is responsible
WorkInProduct.eu is an independent European job board and the controller responsible for your personal data. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@workinproduct.eu.
Data we process
- Browsing. You can browse jobs without creating an account or providing your name or email address. Our servers process standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the site.
- Accounts. You can create an account using your email address and password. You may optionally add your full name, phone number, city, and country. Passwords are securely managed and are not visible to us in plain text.
- Google sign-in. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides the account details needed to authenticate you. This happens only when you initiate it.
- AI search. When you use AI search, your query is sent to Mistral AI’s Mistral Embed service to find relevant jobs. We store the query, result IDs, click-throughs, and a daily-rotating pseudonymous hash derived from your IP address and browser to measure search quality. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information in search queries.
- Analytics. We use self-hosted Plausible Analytics to measure page views, referrers, and rough country-level traffic. It is cookieless and does not track you across websites.
- Messages and feedback. If you contact us or submit job feedback, we process the information you provide, together with technical details used to prevent abuse and investigate problems.
Why we process it
We process personal data to provide requested services, manage accounts, secure the site, answer messages, and improve search quality. Depending on the activity, our legal basis is performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service, or your consent where required.
Service providers and hosting
Our core infrastructure is hosted with European providers: our production database is self-hosted Postgres on Hetzner in Germany, and static assets are served from a CDN edge in Falkenstein, Germany. We use carefully selected providers where needed, including Mistral AI for AI-search embeddings, Google when you choose Google sign-in, and Brevo for transactional email.
Providers receive only the data needed to deliver their service. Where a provider may process data outside the EU, appropriate GDPR transfer safeguards apply.
How long we keep it
We keep account and profile data while your account is active. Search telemetry, messages, feedback, and technical logs are kept only for as long as needed for their stated purpose, security, or legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent where applicable. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Email hello@workinproduct.euand we’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this statement
We’ll update this page when we add or change features that touch personal data. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
