What you will do

At Volvo you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will: 

  • Manage the development & Maintenance of Automotive ECU’s i.e for Radio modules & infotainment ECU's.
  • You will be involved in requirement gathering, writing of technical specifications and integration ofcomponents in the electrical system,release of component documentation in the PDM system.
  • To drive discussions with suppliers on issues related to requirements definition, design, validation, andfollow-up. This work can be done in close collaboration with other stakeholders and project managers at allsites.
  • Involved in close collaboration with business stakeholders, teams, customers, suppliers, and third-partystakeholders in defining the technology infrastructure, decomposing solutions, and systems intocomponents and subsystems, and defining and managing their interfaces
  • Define and monitor node metrics (e.g., memory utilization, CPU load).
  • Lead Release Readiness Reviews (RRR) and represent nodes in Engineering Design Reviews (EDR).
  • Own SW-related Design Change Notices and ensure alignment with milestones.
  • Prepare delivery and release documentation.
  • Integration & Verification
  • Ensure seamless integration of software components and address baseline issues.
  • Verify software functionality on appropriate hardware
  • Oversee testing and resolve deviations to meet quality benchmarks.
  • Documentation & Administration
  • Manage node documentation, part numbers, and variants in product management tool.
  • Ensure SW/HW compatibility in SW Configurator and confirm diagnostics are secured.
  • Communicate calibration needs and replacement chains to production and aftermarket teams.
  • Collaboration & Support
  • Support Product Owners and Project Managers in proactive planning (e.g., FMEA, HARA).
  • Address Product Issue Log (PIL) concerns and prioritize solutions.
  • Act as a technical contact for suppliers, ensuring alignment on requirements and implementation.

Who are you?

  • BE/Btech, ME / M Tech 6 to 8 years in Hardware & software development, Maintenance, integration, or related fields, preferably in automotive ECU's & systems.
  • Good experince in supplier interactions & negotiations.
  • Hands on experience to manage PCR's, PPCN's, Deviations.
  • Experience in Problem solving i.e Supplier Quality issues, CPI's, Argus cases.
  • Hands on experience with KOLA, Configurator, Release tools.
  • Experience in managing the verification , Acceptance tests.
  • Soft Skills:
        - Independent, persistent, and solutions-oriented.
        - Strong communication and collaboration skills in multicultural environments.
        - Creative, innovative, and a strong team player
