Hello! We're Teya.

Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.

At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.

We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.

We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.

We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.

Become a part of our story.

We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.

As a Staff Product Designer at Teya, you’ll be in the driver’s seat of some of our most impactful product bets. You’ll join a cross‑functional squad and take full ownership of how our products look, feel and work – from that first spark of an idea all the way to something merchants love using every day.

You’ll dive into messy, real‑world problems faced by small and medium businesses, turn them into clear opportunities, and then design simple, elegant experiences that make a tangible difference to how they run and grow their business. One month you might be rethinking a critical onboarding journey; the next, you’re shaping new features that unlock entirely new value for our merchants.

You’ll work side‑by‑side with Product, Engineering, Data and Operations, influencing strategy as much as execution. You’ll be the person in the room who champions the user, pushes the quality bar higher, and isn’t afraid to challenge how things are done when there’s a better way.

If you love owning problems end‑to‑end, obsess over craft and usability, and get energy from shipping meaningful work in a fast‑moving environment, this role is for you.

Your Mission

  • Own end‑to‑end design for key product areas – from discovery and problem framing, through to UX/UI design, prototyping, and working with engineering on high‑quality delivery.

  • Turn messy, ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable flows, wireframes and interfaces that balance user needs, business goals and technical constraints.

  • Simplify complex user journeys and internal processes, making our products easier to understand, faster to use, and more delightful for our merchants.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data and Operations to define problems, prioritise opportunities and shape roadmaps, acting as a bridge between teams throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Apply a mix of qualitative and quantitative insights (user interviews, usability testing, product analytics, experiments) to inform your decisions and iterate on your designs.

  • Create clear, well‑structured design artefacts (user flows, wireframes, UI designs, prototypes, design specs) that help drive alignment and execution.

  • Contribute to and help evolve our design system and standards, ensuring consistency and quality across surfaces and platforms.

Experience and Skills

  • Solid experience 5+ years as a Product Designer / UX/UI Designer, including end‑to‑end ownership of complex product work (from discovery to shipped features). in a Neo Bank or FinTech Company.

  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates clear thinking, high‑quality execution and measurable impact on product outcomes.

  • Proven experience simplifying complex user journeys or requirements, and turning them into intuitive, easy‑to‑use experiences.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity: you can clarify goals, frame problems, propose options and move teams forward, even when not everything is defined upfront.

  • Experience working in cross‑functional product teams (Product, Engineering, Data, Operations), with strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with engineers, acting as a partner in trade‑offs, technical discussions and delivery planning.

  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma) and familiarity with design systems.

The Perks

  • We trust you, so we offer flexible working hours, as long it suits both you and your team;

  • Physical and mental health support through our partnership with GymPass giving free access to over 1,500 gyms in the UK, 1-1 therapy, meditation sessions, digital fitness and nutrition apps;

  • Our company offers extended and improved maternity and paternity leave choices, giving employees more flexibility and support;

  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme;

  • Health and Life Insurance;

  • Pension Scheme;

  • 25 days of Annual Leave (+ Bank Holidays);

  • Office snacks every day;

  • Friendly, comfortable and informal office environment in Central London.
