The role
- You own high-impact user journeys end-to-end: onboarding, first-time editor experiences, and early product exploration that directly move activation and retention metrics.
- You partner with a PM and engineering trio to rethink ambiguous growth challenges—from concept through working prototype to scaled solution, not incremental polish.
- You challenge briefs and existing patterns; you're accountable for moving activation metrics in a self-serve business, grounded in both qualitative insights and quantitative data.
- You elevate AI-generated and PM prototypes (built in Lovable, Claude Code) into coherent, scalable experiences that balance guidance with creative power in an AI-native environment.
- You design for structural complexity: cognitive overload in onboarding, AI latency states, cold-start challenges, and zero-to-one problems where the right solution is not obvious.
What they are looking for
- High-scope autonomy: you've influenced product direction beyond surface design, not just executed briefs.
- Metrics-driven mindset: you think in outcomes (activation, retention, adoption) and own accountability for moving them.
- Comfortable in experimental environments: you iterate quickly, discard ideas, thrive where speed matters and not every concept ships.
- Qualitative and quantitative rigor: you ground decisions in user insights and data, articulating how both shape your solutions.
- Collaborative and technical: you work directly with engineers, understand constraints, and either design within them or push back intelligently.
What is in it for you
- Generous salary and equity package in a $4B, Series E company ($530M+ funding).
- Flexible, remote-friendly role for UK/Europe team members; "work from anywhere" up to 60 days per year.
- 25 days annual leave + local holidays, work-from-home budget, regular in-person team offsites.
- Career-defining scope: shape growth engine for a platform used by 90% of Fortune 100, moving from scale-up to next phase.
- Up to $10,000 USD referral bonus per successful hire.
