What you'll do:
 

SAP Globalization seeks a Product Manager to lead localization for SAP Global Trade Services (GTS), focusing on European import/export declarations. The role requires expertise in European customs and hands-on SAP GTS experience to drive compliance product excellence. As Product Manager, you'll translate regulatory requirements into innovative features for a global customer base and work autonomously within SAP's Globalization team. 

 

The Role: 

Product Strategy & Roadmap: 

• Develop and execute GTS strategy for European import/export declarations; maintain a responsive roadmap. Innovate compliance automation for EU and country codes, focusing mainly on Europe with global awareness. 

Stakeholder Management: 

• Serve as main contact between engineering, compliance, brokers, and customers. Build relationships with customs authorities and support sales and implementation. 

Requirements & Execution:

• Gather and analyze stakeholder input; translate customs rules into specs and user stories. Ensure accurate localization and validate compliance of product. 

Customer Advocacy & Support:

• Represent customers in development, resolve escalated issues, and gather feedback. 

 

What you bring: 

 

Experience:

• 10+ years in product management, trade compliance, and logistics. 

• Extensive SAP GTS implementation. 

• Managed complex portfolios and cross-functional teams. 

• Knowledge of S/4HANA would be a plus 

 

Skills:

• Expert in European customs, SAP GTS architecture, and data integration. 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

Languages: 

• Fluent English; skilled in specifications and presentations. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other SAP trade compliance solutions. 

• Customs/trade compliance background. 

• Knowledge of emerging technologies, especially AI and regulatory change management. 

• Prior interaction with customs authorities.
