⭐ Mission
Join us as a Product Engineer and help us build the financial tools that empower 600,000+ SMEs and their accountants to gain full control over their finances. You will work on high-impact financial features that make SMEs and accountants lives easier, all under the guidance of Yanis, our Head of Engineering, and with the sponsorship of Steve, our co-founder.
👩💻🧑💻 As a Product Engineer at Qonto, you will
• Ship features end-to-end, faster than ever: You'll own features with Product Managers and Designers - using AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot...) and automation to accelerate every step of the process.
• Challenge the product, not just build it: Engineers at Qonto actively shape the roadmap. You'll understand the "why" behind the "what" and prototype solutions fast.
• Work with maximum squad autonomy: Your squad owns its roadmap, picks its approaches, and ships independently. No layers of approval, no waiting on committees.

• Accounting domain knowledge: You've worked on accounting, bookkeeping, invoicing, or tax-related products before - or you have a strong understanding of how accountants work and what they need from software. • Product mindset: You understand the business value of your code, you're comfortable navigating complex domain logic (like accounting rules), and you challenge specs to build the best product - not just the one that was asked for. • AI-native workflow: You use AI to supercharge how you build, from code generation to testing to deployment. (Click HERE to access our vision statement on AI at Qonto). • Solid engineering fundamentals: You have experience with Go, React, or any modern full-stack environment, and you're willing to learn what you haven't mastered yet. • Strong communication in English: You collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and can articulate technical decisions clearly. 🔧 What you'll get • Unlimited access to the best AI tools on the market - Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Dust, Notion AI. • A stack built on Go, React, Kubernetes, and Kafka. • A squad culture where autonomy is the default: you own your decisions and ship without red tape. 🤝 About your future manager You'll report to Yanis, Head of Engineering - but don't expect micro-management. Yanis grew from Lead Engineer to Head of Engineering over 4 years at Qonto. He's a pragmatic generalist who's built payment integrations from scratch and is equally comfortable on the frontend and backend.
