Continuous Improvement Lead (Kaizen Officer)
As posted by Qonto
Join us as a Kaizen Officer to lead the transformation of continuous improvement at Qonto. You will shift Lean from theory to practice, building a scalable culture of operational excellence across our fast-growing organization. You'll be instrumental in embedding sustainable improvement practices company-wide and proving their measurable business impact, reporting to Marjorie, our Talent & Culture Director.
➡️ What you'll do
- Make Lean work for the business, not the other way around: You'll bring solid Lean expertise and put it fully at the service of our teams and our customers. At Qonto, continuous improvement is a way of working — practical, grounded, and always tied to real outcomes.
- Build your network and spread the knowledge: You'll connect with people across the organization, identify champions in every team, and gradually embed a shared improvement culture — partnering closely with the L&D team to design and deliver the right learning experiences.
- Get on the ground with teams: You'll run hands-on improvement projects alongside operational teams — diagnosing real problems, facilitating Kaizen events, and making sure the work leads to tangible, measurable outcomes. This is field work, not theory.
- Drive cultural change from the inside: You know that culture doesn't change by decree. You'll build trust, identify the right people to bet on, and use every tool at your disposal — including AI — to scale your impact and help teams work smarter. At Qonto, AI isn't a bonus skill: it's how we operate.
➡️ What we're looking for
- Change leader who influences without authority: You've driven cultural transformation in complex, fast-moving organizations — getting buy-in from leadership and frontline teams alike.
- Data-driven practitioner: You've built ROI models for "soft" improvements and know how to make the business case for Lean in a language CFOs and CPOs understand.
- Applied facilitator: You've designed and run workshops that solve real problems — not training sessions that end with a certificate and zero follow-through.
- Systemic thinker: You've operated in hyper-growth or multi-geo environments and know how to navigate ambiguity, connect dots across silos, and find root causes before jumping to solutions.
- Energy giver: You're someone people want to follow — you make Lean feel energizing, not imposed, and you build relationships quickly across all levels.
➡️ What you'll get
- Real ownership from day one: You'll shape this role significantly — defining what Lean looks like at Qonto's next stage of scale.
- Direct exposure to leadership: You'll work alongside exec-level stakeholders and report directly to the Talent & Culture Director.
- A community ready to scale with you: You'll partner with former Kaizen Officers now embedded across operational teams — the foundation is there, you make it fly.
- A role that grows with you: Path to lead team expansion with junior members and explore internal mobility as the function matures.
- Training resources to make you even stronger: You'll have access to internal learning programs, and we will also invest in external training and coaching with Lean experts outside Qonto.
➡️ Your future manager
You'll report to Marjorie, Talent & Culture Director — but don't expect a hands-off sponsor. Marjorie has been at Qonto for 7 years, first building the recruitment function from scratch, then pivoting to lead Culture and Talent as the company scaled. She knows Qonto's DNA inside out, has the internal network to unblock you fast, and leads with a hands-on style that gives you the support to make impact from day one without micromanaging how you get there.
At Qonto we understand that true diversity isn't just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist. Apply regardless of the boxes you tick! Who knows? You may have the missing piece of the puzzle we've been searching for all along.
