That’s where you come in! Join our global team and help us make great cinema accessible to everyone, everywhere.

About the Role

The APM Internship offers a 12-week immersive experience where you will drive impactful projects and features at MUBI. You will collaborate with the team to ship significant enhancements across our web, mobile, and living room platforms. You'll sit at the intersection of the technical and the business worlds - translating member needs into product requirements, partnering with engineers and designers to build, and using data to measure impact. This is hands-on product management: you won't be shadowing, you'll be shipping.

By the end of the summer you will have scoped a problem, defined a solution, coordinated a cross-functional team, and launched something that members or internal stakeholders actually use.

Where You’ll Have Impact

  • Own a product area - from problem definition and discovery through delivery and launch.

  • Write clear specs, define success metrics, and prioritize a backlog against real constraints.

  • Partner with our senior product managers, engineering, design, data, and business teams to ship and iterate.

  • Use data and member insight to make decisions and measure the impact of what you build.

  • Apply modern AI tooling to move faster across research, prototyping, and delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Current student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.

  • Technical experience: Prior internship or teaching assistant experience in software development, product management, or a similar technical field.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading entrepreneurial efforts, student organizations, or outreach programs while building cross-functional relationships.

  • AI fluency: Proficient with the latest AI tools - such as Claude Code and Codex - and comfortable integrating them into your everyday workflow.

  • Communication: Able to communicate clearly and persuasively, distilling complex ideas into simple, actionable plans for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product delivery: Experience with modern Agile methodologies used to drive product development and delivery timelines.

  • Analytical skills: Practical experience with programming languages, data analysis, business modeling, pricing strategies, or user experience design.

  • Advanced tech: Familiarity with applying AI/ML concepts to build products or features through academic work or side projects.

  • Execution: Excellent, resourceful problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Passion for film: A genuine love of cinema and curiosity about how great products bring it to a global audience.

Program Perks & Return Offers

  • Mentorship: Every intern is paired with a dedicated manager at MUBI and an APM buddy to support their growth throughout the program.

  • Real ownership: You'll lead a meaningful project with real users and real stakes - not busywork.

  • Full-time pipeline: Strong performance and positive reviews during the internship can lead to a return offer for a prestigious full-time role on the Product / Engineering team.

Practical Details

  • Duration: 12 weeks

  • Stipend: £500/m

  • Eligibility: Must hold the right to work in the UK
