The role
- Operate as the most senior individual contributor in Product, working horizontally across the company's most important strategic bets and ensuring they reinforce each other.
- Frame the highest-stakes product decisions facing the company and help the organization make better bets, especially when data doesn't give a clean answer.
- Partner with the VP of Product as a strategic thought partner on company-level product direction.
- Go deep when it matters: shaping critical flows, pressure-testing team strategies, or reframing how the company thinks about problems.
What they are looking for
- Proven track record driving measurable business outcomes across multiple product areas—not just shipping features.
- Experience navigating major product inflection points: repositioning, scaling, or rethinking value propositions; not optimizing what already exists.
- Track record leading without authority: others naturally follow your thinking and strategic direction.
- Exceptional communication flexing across audiences: from compelling product vision storytelling to clear, actionable plans for execution teams.
- Strong analytical foundation paired with sharp product and UX instincts; you won't settle for "the numbers say it's fine" when the experience feels wrong.
- Mobile-first consumer subscription or freemium product experience and scaling startup environment experience required.
