The role 

As a Product Owner you will manage the central web platform's backlog and provide the business with the right tools to enable team autonomy and improve web experience. You will contribute to maximum agile flow of delivery, efficiency and productivity.

As a Product Owner you will manage the central web platform team backlog and work with business stakeholders and technical stakeholders towards improving central platform component.

As Product Owner within FDJ group you are highly-empowered, which means you will have control over your own work and are expected and encouraged to take on new tasks without someone managing you in detail. The successful candidate has great knowledge and experience from working with and leading frontend development teams and has a proven track record in delivering high quality solutions to customers and the business. You are not afraid to dig in when pressure is on and feel pride in always delivering the best with a friendly attitude.

 

What you will do 

Acting as a Tech Delivery expert and Leader

  • Deploy agile development and delivery methods, ensuring that principles of human centered design thinking are embraced through the delivery process with the aim of delivering world class experiences and customer journeys.

  • Liaise with Kindred business delivery teams and key business stakeholders to secure efficient management of two critical backlogs and handling of new business initiatives.

  • Ensure maximum business value of scheduled work, define business and technical requirements, translates them into workable Epics and User Stories and ensure timely deliveries of the backlog items.

  • Support the teams by participating in scrum ceremonies like daily, backlog grooming and planning.

  • Provide full visibility and transparency on capacity planning for the backlogs and clearly communicate capacity and estimations to key stake holders.

  • Track the effectiveness and productivity (i.e: velocity, burn down, other relevant metrics) of the teams against expected deliveries.

  • Improve work processes together with the teams to maximize throughput.

  • Engage close communication with relevant stakeholders such as business owners, UX, Product Owners and tech teams on upcoming and ongoing business initiatives and release schedules, secure visibility of feature progress.

  • Act like a lead coordinator when needed, feel comfortable managing deliveries from start to end and drive development and project progress across multiple teams and backlogs.
  • Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role. 
  • Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager. 
  • Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group. 
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you. 
  • Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear. 


 

Acting as a Customer Web Experience and Change Ambassador

  • Work alongside other web teams on executing FDJ's key experiences, across several customer journeys, across all brands and channels and contribute to create experiences that set industry standards for delighting customers, and contribute to maximum agile flow of delivery, efficiency and productivity.

  • Develop the central web platform business and tech Roadmap together with the Product engineering lead, Domain archs, Product Owners, delivery teams and key stakeholders.

  • Support the strategic vision for the FDJ delivery engine by actively contributing to new ways of working and structuring your backlogs.

 

Acting as a Customer Champion

  • Uses all available customer understanding and analytics tools for product decisions purposes.

  • Exhibits a “customer first” behavior, step into our customer shoes and constantly find improvements.

  • Engages CX/UX teams with dilemmas and incorporates these teams in the weekly schedule and establish ways of working with these teams.

  • Knows which items requires UX/CX input and which do not.
     

Your Experience

  • Proven experience and knowledge in web-based applications and technology

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Product Owner

  • Genuine passion for customer interaction and perception of used services

  • Fantastic communication and presentation skills

  • Creative and Strategic thinker with a positive attitude

  • Have a data and evidence driven mind-set in decision making

  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills

  • Experience from working in the online gambling industry is an advantage

  • Experience from working with CX and analytics tools

  • Solid Experience with Agile development approach

  • Must thrive in multi-tasking, quick moving, demanding environment

  • Willingness to travel on monthly basis (post-Covid)
