Why This Job Is Exciting
At Innovatrics, we equip you with the tools, context, and trust to thrive, and a clear path to grow and make a meaningful impact throughout your journey with us.
We're hiring the product manager who will set the direction for our capture-and-trust technology — the part of every identity system that sits between the person and the system: selfie and document capture on web and mobile, liveness (presentation attack) detection, injection-attack and deepfake defence, document reading and verification, and the adversarial data and red-team work that keeps it all honest.
In your first weeks, you'll explore...
- The stack end to end — web and mobile capture components, liveness models and their serving, injection-attack prevention, document reading — and how each is packaged, versioned and consumed by our solutions and by external SDK customers
- The people — the research, engineering, data and security teams that build it, the heads of R&D and Platform Engineering, and the product managers on the solution side who are your internal customers
- The certification landscape we compete in (ISO/IEC 30107-3 presentation attack detection, CEN/TS 18099 injection attack detection, the accredited labs, NIST evaluations) and where we stand against the competitors we meet in evaluations
As you settle in, you'll start contributing by...
- Tracing how a request from a solution team enters the area today, where it waits, and why — that lead time is the first thing the role is measured on
- Taking over the roadmap and the two Product Owners, and setting the metrics the area is run on
- Running intake from solution product managers and Sales: saying no with reasons, saying yes with a date
By the end of your first six months, you'll...
- Run the area on one roadmap, one release cadence and one product interface — solution teams receive capture-and-trust capabilities as packaged services instead of integrating the outputs of several small teams
- Have chosen the next certification milestones deliberately, sequenced against the roadmap, instead of reacting to the next RFP
- Represent the area outward — with SDK customers and integrators, in technical evaluations — and inward to the executive team
What You'll Help Build
At Innovatrics, we build biometric technologies for phygital identity, elections, border control, law enforcement and secure remote onboarding in 80+ countries. Our algorithms have reached over a billion people.
Everything an identity system does downstream depends on one thing: a signal it can trust. The capabilities you will own are consumed by every Innovatrics solution — enterprise identity verification, national ID issuance, border control, criminal investigation — and licensed directly to integrators as capture and liveness SDKs, including components certified against the industry's attack-detection standards. Today they are built by around 25 people across several research, engineering, data and security teams; you give them a single product direction and become the one product interface the solutions talk to instead of coordinating five teams.
The role is new — created by our 2026 restructuring of the technology organisation, in which product direction moves to dedicated product managers while the heads of department keep technology and people leadership. Join us if you're motivated by an adversarial domain where the other side adapts to what you ship, by products that other teams build on, and by problems where the trade-off is the job.
What You'll Own
This role carries five distinct areas of responsibility:
- Product direction & roadmap. One roadmap for the whole area — across research, engineering and data — with explicit trade-offs: attack coverage vs. user friction, certification milestones vs. new capability, internal consumers vs. SDK customers. With the research leads, decide what to investigate next — which attack classes, which devices, which document types — grounded in field data and the red team's findings rather than in the last escalation.
- Product Owners. Two Product Owners report to you: slice the area into value streams, keep their backlogs coherent with the roadmap, and grow them.
- The platform contract. Define what the solution teams and SDK customers consume: what is a service, what is an SDK, what is an internal component; release cadence; versioning and deprecation.
- Certification & the adversarial posture. Choose and sequence the certification milestones (ISO/IEC 30107-3, CEN/TS 18099 and their successors), and turn the red team's findings into roadmap decisions.
- Metrics & intake. Define and track what says whether the area works — attack-detection performance at the operating points customers actually run, capture success and time-to-capture on real devices, lead time from request to consumable capability, certification status — and run intake from solution product managers and Sales against it.
Working Hours & Location
This role is based in Bratislava or Brno, where the teams in this area and our HQ are located, and is hybrid with regular time in both offices.
Requirements
About You
You are an experienced product leader who has set direction for a technical, multi-team product line — a platform, an SDK or a security product consumed by other teams or by developers — not only owned a backlog. You treat internal customers as customers and can define a service contract, a release cadence and a deprecation path. You can hold your own with ML researchers: read an evaluation report, discuss error trade-offs at an operating point, and understand why a model that wins a benchmark can lose in the field. You don't need a background in identity verification or biometrics, but you should be energised by getting deep into how capture, liveness and document verification actually work — and how they get attacked. You define success up front, instrument it, and change course when the data says so, and you are trusted by research, engineering, certification and commercial people alike. You thrive in a culture built on Innovatrics' values — collaboration, accountability, respect, excellence, and a shared mission.
Qualifications
- Several years of product management on a technical product line consumed by other teams or by developers — a platform, SDK or security product — including roadmap-level trade-offs you made and defended
- Experience leading product people — managing or mentoring product owners or product managers
- Platform-as-product experience: service contracts, release cadence, versioning and deprecation, and measuring whether the teams consuming your platform are faster because of it
- Technical depth to work with ML researchers — reading evaluation reports, reasoning about error trade-offs at an operating point, thinking in SDK/API contracts; a computer-vision, machine-learning or security-engineering background is a strong plus
- A metrics- and evidence-driven approach — you define success up front and use data to know whether you got it right
- Excellent written and verbal English; Slovak or Czech is not required
- Really strong plus: prior exposure to identity verification, liveness and anti-spoofing, deepfake or fraud detection, document verification, or biometric certification (ISO/IEC 30107-3, CEN/TS 18099, iBeta, NIST); or having shipped in any adversarial domain — security, fraud, anti-abuse — where the other side adapts to what you build
Benefits
This role is open at P5 (Senior Product Manager).
At Innovatrics, levels reflect scope, impact, and autonomy, not just years of experience. P5 is the first level of the Senior Product Manager band: you shape the roadmap, own products with significant business impact, prioritise in ambiguity, and influence company-wide decisions without formal authority. This role pairs that scope with product direction for a multi-team platform consumed across the company and by external customers, and with two Product Owners reporting to you.
Level and compensation are aligned during the interview process based on demonstrated scope & impact.
Compensation
At Innovatrics, we offer competitive compensation aligned with role level, experience, skills, and location.
Salary (indicative, Bratislava-based): starting from €5,000 / month, depending on the assessed seniority level.
Beyond base salary, this role is eligible for Innovatrics' company-wide Variable Pay program with a target of 15% of annual guaranteed pay, tied to Innovatrics' net profit margin and paid based on company performance.
We also provide a comprehensive benefits package. Details are available at careers.innovatrics.com.
Interview Process
Introduction Stage (~30 min.)
- Phone screen with Talent Acquisition — your background, the role, compensation and the process
Technical Interview Stage (~60 min.)
You'll receive a home assignment ahead of this round — a real product situation from our domain. A single interview with the hiring team, covering:
- Your assignment — how you framed the problem, the trade-offs you weighed, and the plan you would run
- Product direction — how you have set direction for a technical product line before, led product owners, and defined a platform contract for the teams consuming it
Final Stage (~30 min.)
- CARES Interview to ensure alignment with our values: Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Shared Mission
- Reference checks and background verification
Candidates are welcome to request additional conversations with Innovatrics team members.
