Our team empowers clients to pay frictionlessly, stay in control of expenses and grow our Commercial Cards business.

Your department

In Tribe Payments NL, we work to provide customers with the best and most seamless payments journey while growing our portfolio. To realise this ambition, we are looking for a Customer Journey Expert (Product Manager) with knowledge of Commercial Cards and payment products, and experience in developing a commercial cards strategy and roadmap that improves the customer experience.

• You bring an outside-in view and translate customer needs into a best-in-class strategy and roadmap.
• You actively define and execute our roadmap and support Sales in positioning our corporate card solutions.
• Together with the team, you build business cases for new initiatives and portfolio growth and ensure their execution.
• With stakeholders across domains, including IT, Risk and external parties, you drive change implementation and service integration.
• You work with external suppliers and partners to drive our product development.
• You build relevant networks and partnerships inside and outside ING.
• You work with Risk, Compliance and Legal to ensure our products and services comply with regulations and policies.
• You bridge IT and business by understanding client needs and digitalization, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Together with your colleagues you are responsible for meeting your quarterly goals.

Your team

This position is in the Commercial Cards product team, based in Amsterdam. You will work with 11 Customer Journey Experts on our Corporate Card proposition, customer journeys, risk and IT systems. You will also work closely with engineers in the Netherlands and the Philippines, external suppliers, Sales, Risk, other tribes and payment-chain stakeholders. You will report to the Product Lead Commercial Cards.

Our products serve ING clients from self-employed and micro businesses to corporate clients. Your projects will mainly focus on improving the proposition for Mid-Corporate Banking clients and Corporate Cards clients, many of whom operate internationally. Key challenges include reducing customer friction, growing the business with a distinctive market offering, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing risks.

How to succeed 

Our biggest expectation is that you take end-to-end responsibility. As our new Customer Journey Expert, you:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least five years of experience in payments, PSPs, card issuing or card schemes.
• Strong knowledge of card payments, preferably Commercial Cards, card issuing and commercial payments.
• Customer-focused, with the ability to translate client needs into better propositions and services.
• Commercial mindset and proven ability to deliver results and drive change.
• Analytical, fact-based and able to make clear decisions.
• Strong collaborator who can lead projects and challenge constructively.
• Able to balance regulatory requirements with pragmatic, customer-focused solutions.
• Energetic, proactive and comfortable working independently and in a team.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is preferred.
