Responsibilities / Tasks

The Technical Product Owner - Industrial IoT is responsible for the successful delivery of cloud-based digital applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives while facilitating effective communication between development teams, the Product Manager, and key business stakeholders. The role also serves as overall project lead for solution delivery, while providing hands-on technical support across software development, API integration, data engineering, troubleshooting, proof-of-concept development, and technical design reviews to accelerate delivery and ensure high-quality outcomes. 

This position can be based in Alcobendas (Spain) or Naas (Ireland), depending on the selected candidate.

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to align implementation with the product roadmap.
  • Translate business requirements and user stories into well-defined epics, features, and actionable development tasks.
  • Create mockups and work with UX experts on solution design.
  • Define acceptance criteria, review deliverables, and accept completed work.
  • Create and maintain solution architecture, technical design documents, and implementation specifications to support successful application development.
  • Develop and review: Angular front-end components and dashboards, REST API integrations, Azure cloud services and workflows, Databricks notebooks and data transformations, InfluxDB data models and queries, Automation scripts and deployment pipelines.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder feedback, technical dependencies, and strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate software updates, patches, releases, and upgrades.
  • Ensure all developments align with company Secure Product Development procedures.
  • Ensure all developments align with company D2S development processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including sprint plans, product backlogs, meeting minutes, and release notes.
  • Proactively manage risks that could impact delivery timelines or product quality and escalate issues when required.
  • Develop and deliver monthly performance reports highlighting solution status, key achievements, development progress, and KPI attainment.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Educational Background

Must Have

  • Master's Degree in Engineering

  • Agile Certifications (Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.)​

Nice to Have

  • Project Management Certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)

Professional Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management and technical lead experience. 

  • ​Hands on development experience with Azure App Services, DevOps, Databricks ,InFlux DB and Angular (preferred). 

  • ​Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • ​Data Modelling and Analytics

    • Industrial IIoT

    • System Integration & APIs

    • ​UX experience and digital product design 

    • Food & Beverage Process Knowledge

    • IEC 62443 Awareness

  • ​English (B2/C1).French/German/ Portuguese highly valuable​
