Job Description

Experian Verifications is a fast-growing data and technology business operating in a market where trust, data and speed decide who wins. Our products are used daily by businesses who depend on us to make critical decisions quickly and confidently. We have strong revenue momentum, a committed customer base and significant headroom to grow.

We are looking for a Head of Product to own Konfir, a newly acquired business, and drive the strategy, roadmap, team and commercial outcomes. This is a leadership role with genuine scope, requiring work with key stakeholders across the business. You will shape what we build, why we build it and how we prove it creates value — working shoulder to shoulder with customers, engineering, commercial and the executive team.

This is not a role for someone who wants to manage a process from a distance. You will set direction, then get into the detail when it matters empowering everyone around you while you do it.

This is a Hybrid, London or Nottingham based role (40% in the office) reporting to the Product Director.

What you will own

  • Product strategy and vision. Define and articulate a product strategy that is credible to customers, the board and the team — and connect it clearly to revenue, retention and margin.
  • Roadmap and prioritisation. Build and maintain a prioritised, evidence-led roadmap. Make the trade-offs explicit, communicate them well, and say no with reasons.
  • Customer discovery. Spend real time with customers and prospects. Turn what you hear into validated problems, and validated problems into products people pay for. Manage scope and delivery timelines with clients to ensure good outcomes.
  • Outcomes and measurement. Own the metrics that show whether the product is working. Define the north star and the supporting measures, instrument the product to capture them, and use them to make decisions.
  • Team leadership. Lead, coach and grow a product team into a world-class function — hiring, performance, career development and ways of working.
  • Commercial and P&L ownership. Influence pricing, packaging and commercial modelling. Understand unit economics well enough to defend value in a negotiation and protect margin as we scale. Size commercial opportunities with a clear understanding of how actions impact the P&L.
  • Go-to-market. Own launches properly: positioning, enablement for sales and customer success, and the ability to turn a release into adoption.
  • Technical onboarding. Own onboarding and act as a product consultant for new clients to help optimise their solutions, creating value for clients and Experian.
  • AI implementation. Embedding AI capabilities across the product set to ensure customer needs are met and internal efficiencies are realised.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrable success as a senior product leader — you have taken products from idea to revenue, and scaled products that were already working.
  • People leadership experience — you have hired, coached and developed product managers, and you enjoy it.
  • Strong core product management craft: strategy, discovery, roadmapping, prioritisation frameworks, and disciplined delivery with engineering teams to break down features and continually ship incremental value.
  • Strong AI capability — hands-on experience using AI tools to build product, accelerate discovery and delivery, and drive efficiency across a team. You are curious and practical about it, not theoretical.
  • Commercial acumen: comfortable with pricing, business cases, unit economics and the numbers behind a P&L.
  • Genuine relationship-building skill with customers and partners — you create the kind of trust that outlasts individual deals.
  • Data fluency. You define the measures, interrogate the data yourself, and prefer evidence to opinion.
  • Technical fluency to earn credibility with engineers and engage in architecture, integration and API trade-offs. You do not need to write production code.
  • People leadership experience — you have hired, coached and developed product managers, and you enjoy it.
  • Background in B2B SaaS, platform or API-led products, and partner or integration-led distribution.

Desirable

  • Experience in data-rich, regulated or compliance-sensitive products — data protection, consent, auditability and the design implications that follow.
  • Experience building a product function from a small base — process, rituals and standards that scale without becoming bureaucracy.
  • Strong market and competitive intelligence instincts: sizing opportunities and anticipating where the market moves next.

Additional Information

Benefits include:-

  • Great compensation package and discretionary bonus plan
  • Core benefits include pension, bupa healthcare, sharesave scheme and more!
  • 25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays and 3 volunteering days. You can also purchase additional annual leave.
