Product Data Integration Specialist

Position Overview

We are looking for a technically strong Product Data Integration Specialist to take ownership of the solutions and data flows that support our global product information landscape.

In this role, you will lead the technical development and continuous improvement of our Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms. You will ensure that product data can be reliably extracted, transformed, enriched, and distributed across SAP, PIM, ecommerce, websites, digital tools, and other downstream systems.

This is not a purely functional Product Owner position. We are looking for someone who understands how data moves between systems, can work with complex data structures and transformation logic, and can translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

You will work at the intersection of data, IT, architecture, and business, collaborating with international stakeholders, SAP and integration teams, enterprise architects, implementation partners, and business functions worldwide.

 

What you will do

Own the product data solution

·       Take technical ownership of our global PIM and DAM solutions, including their development roadmap, backlog, and continuous improvement.

·       Shape the future product data architecture together with business owners, IT teams, and enterprise architects.

·       Translate business requirements into scalable data models, integration designs, and technical solutions.

·       Evaluate new requirements and define how they should be implemented across PIM, SAP, middleware, and downstream platforms.

 

Design and manage data flows

·       Design and improve the end-to-end flow of product data between SAP Material Master, PIM, DAM, data platforms, and downstream systems.

·       Define how data is extracted, mapped, transformed, validated, enriched, and distributed.

·       Work with ETL processes, data pipelines, APIs, web services, JSON/XML interfaces, and middleware solutions.

·       Ensure that product data can move reliably into and out of the PIM platform.

·       Support integration with data lakes, ecommerce platforms, websites, catalogues, product configurators, and internal applications.

·       Investigate and resolve issues related to data flows, transformation logic, mappings, and interfaces.

 

Develop product data structures and standards

·       Maintain and evolve global product data models, attributes, hierarchies, classifications, and taxonomies.

·       Define data quality rules, validation logic, ownership, and governance standards.

·       Ensure product information is complete, structured, accurate, and suitable for use across different markets and channels.

·       Collaborate with SAP and business teams to align PIM structures with SAP Material Master and related product data processes.

 

Lead implementation and delivery

·       Coordinate technical implementations, system enhancements, integrations, and international rollouts.

·       Manage priorities, dependencies, risks, timelines, and delivery across internal teams and external partners.

·       Drive requirements analysis, solution design, acceptance testing, documentation, release coordination, and user adoption.

·       Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, information security, integration, and data standards.

·       Coordinate external implementation and support partners, including second and third-level support.

 

What we require

• Strong experience working with product data, master data, system integration, or data transformation.
• Hands-on experience with a PIM, MDM, product data, or similarly integration-heavy platform.
• Practical understanding of how data is extracted, transformed, mapped, validated, and transferred between systems.
• Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, data mapping, and transformation logic.
• Experience designing or working with system integrations using APIs, web services, JSON, XML, middleware, or similar technologies.
• Good understanding of data models, attributes, taxonomies, hierarchies, and data quality principles.
• Exposure to data lakes, cloud data platforms, analytics environments, or data engineering.
• Ability to understand technical architecture and discuss solution designs with developers, architects, SAP specialists, and integration teams.
• Strong project management or technical delivery skills, including managing timelines, dependencies, priorities, risks, and external partners.
• Experience working in an international, cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect technical and business perspectives.
• Fluency in English.
• University degree in IT, data management, engineering, business informatics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

 

What we prefer

• Experience with PIM platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud PCM, Akeneo, Stibo Systems, Informatica PIM, Syndigo, or similar solutions.
• Experience working with SAP Material Master data and its integration with other systems is highly desirable.
• Experience with Digital Asset Management platforms.
• Knowledge of how product data is consumed by ecommerce platforms, CMS solutions, marketing tools, catalogues, and product configurators.
• Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Product Owner, Agile, SAP, data management, or project management certification.
