Product Design Director / Head of UX  (d/f/m)

JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Experience & Engineering team in the DACH region. We combine technology and experience design to create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products, and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is digital experiences and communication that change perceptions and shape new behaviours to make a difference in the market.

You will lead and further develop our DACH UX practice across the entire value chain — from research to delivery. You will balance craft excellence, delivery quality, and operational health, while shaping a strong and future-ready UX department.

You will also lead international project teams for ambitious brands to create user-centered experiences that drive measurable growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Driving innovation and delivering excellence: Set the standard for user-centered design and ensure strategic business impact for key accounts and new business.
  • Delivery excellence Oversee project quality and collaborate with the leadership team to evolve our processes and maintain our competitive edge.
  • Operational accountability: Proactively act on client satisfaction and team performance.
  • Cross-functional and international alignment: Foster collaboration to drive collective growth.
  • Champion thought leadership: Act as an internal and external voice, showcasing our pioneering work and discussing trends.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience: 15+ years in UX/Product Design within fast-paced agency environments and complex digital ecosystems. Proven track record with large, international brands; e-commerce experience is a plus.
  • Portfolio: Demonstrated success across the full product design value chain, from research to concepts and iterative testing.
  • Leadership: 10+ years of proven strategic, technical & people leadership.
  • Operational Agility: Performance-driven, with a solutions-oriented approach to handling escalations and complex project demands.
  • Tech & AI Savvy: A forward-thinking mindset; you actively integrate AI and emerging technologies into your work.
  • Influence & Communication: Ability to translate complex UX strategies into persuasive pitches that build long-term trust with senior stakeholders.
  • Language: Full professional proficiency (C1) in both German and English.
