Shape the Future of Consumer Lending
What drives customers to choose one lender over another? How can we continuously improve the customer journey while delivering sustainable growth and profitability?
As Product Manager for Consumer Loans, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Santander's consumer lending business in Sweden. You will be responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and commercial performance of the Consumer Loans portfolio across the full customer lifecycle—from application through to the end of the customer relationship.
Working closely with colleagues across the Nordic organization, you will identify market opportunities, optimize customer value propositions, and ensure our products remain competitive, compliant, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the Consumer Loans portfolio in Sweden.
- Manage product profitability and key commercial performance indicators, ensuring sustainable growth and strong business results.
- Monitor customer, competitor, technology, and regulatory developments, translating insights into product enhancements and business opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across Business Development, Pricing, Marketing, Risk, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to optimize product performance.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, driving product development, simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of pricing strategies, distribution channels, insurance offerings, and customer acquisition initiatives to strengthen Santander's market position.
About You
You are a commercially minded and customer-focused professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You thrive in collaborative environments, build strong relationships across functions, and use data and market insights to drive informed decisions.
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior commercial role, preferably within product management, business development, strategy, sales, or commercial planning.
- Experience within consumer lending, banking, financial services, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of consumer loan products, portfolio management, pricing, and profitability drivers.
- Experience working in cross-functional and agile environments.
- Good knowledge of the Nordic consumer lending market, customer behaviors, and competitive landscape.
Education
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Significant relevant professional experience may be considered an equivalent qualification.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong commercial and analytical capabilities with the ability to translate insights into action.
- Experience managing product performance, profitability, and business KPIs.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of product development methodologies and agile ways of working.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
