Your job

As Product Owner, you are accountable for maximising the value of the Credit Risk Monitoring & Risk Assessment product domain. You translate strategy, policy, methodology and regulatory expectations into a clear planning and prioritised backlog, and you create the conditions for multidisciplinary DevOps teams to deliver. 

The bank is renewing its Credit Risk Monitoring framework through a major strategic programme. You will help bring the new risk assessment and monitoring framework to life, balancing rapid implementation with business value, regulatory compliance, technical sustainability and operational stability. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Own and communicate the product vision, strategy for Credit Risk Monitoring & Risk Assessment. 
  • Lead delivery of the new monitoring and assessment framework across the credit value chain. 
  • Translate strategic objectives and stakeholder needs into a prioritised, outcome-focused backlog that is effectively managed and delivered. 
  • Make transparent trade-offs based on value, risk, urgency, complexity and strategic alignment. 
  • Align senior stakeholders across Risk, business, Finance, Data and IT on priorities and decisions. 
  • Guide DevOps teams, remove impediments and ensure realistic, visible delivery commitments. 
  • Balance change delivery with application stability, control requirements and technical health. 
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and drive adoption of new capabilities and ways of working. 
  • Build the governance, ownership and collaboration model needed for effective programme execution. 

Working environment

You will join the Financial Risk Grid and work with product owners, Business Developers, and IT solution designers and engineers, data specialists and credit risk experts. The product domain spans obligor monitoring, portfolio oversight and risk assessment, with direct links to origination, provisions, capital and reporting. 

The strategic programme is in an intensive set-up and delivery phase. You will operate in a fast-paced, highly connected environment where choices quickly move into implementation and where clear leadership, learning agility and decisive collaboration are essential.

You are a credible product leader who combines strategic direction with delivery discipline. You create clarity in complexity, challenge constructively and bring teams and stakeholders together around shared outcomes.

Experience and expertise 

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Econometrics, Data or a comparable field. 
  • Significant experience in Product Ownership, Product Management or a comparable delivery leadership role. 
  • Proven experience translating strategy into roadmaps, backlogs and concrete results. 
  • Experience leading complex change in a regulated or highly controlled environment. 
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps delivery and complex business and IT landscapes. 
  • Strong analytical judgement and the ability to make evidence-based product decisions. 
  • Ability to prepare clear decision papers, roadmap updates and formal communications for senior management, audit and regulatory audiences. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. 
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end credit risk value chain, including origination, assessment, monitoring, early-warning, risk classification, remediation and reporting. 
  • Proven experience in Credit Risk Monitoring, Risk Assessment or a closely related credit risk domain within banking. 
  • Ability to translate credit risk policy, methodology and regulatory expectations into product capabilities, processes, data and controls. 
  • Experience with regulatory-driven change and interactions with senior management, audit, compliance and supervisory stakeholders.
